For Entertainment
What the card is
The Midway Machine prints a personality card for fun: a good story about you, built from your birthday. For entertainment and self-reflection. Astrology and numerology are traditions, not science.
Facts on the card are stated as facts: the Sun's position on your birth date, the Moon's phase, your weekday, your numbers. Everything drawn from astrology, numerology or old rhymes is tradition, and the card treats it that way. Hunches are labelled as hunches: "the machine suspects…".
What the card never does
- It never predicts outcomes. The Machine's Forecast offers themes and moods, such as a lucky colour or the kind of season ahead, never what will happen or when.
- It has no health lines of any kind, and never comments on illness, the body or recovery. It is not medical, legal, financial or psychological advice.
- It never gives lottery, gambling or "win money" numbers, and lucky numbers on the card are not for betting.
- It never claims to be psychic, and it never claims a guarantee about luck, love or money.
Please don't make important decisions based on the card. If you're going through something hard, talk to a person you trust or a qualified professional.
Software-made, on purpose
The machine is software. It composes each card from a library of lines written and checked in advance, picked to fit your birthday. See How the Machine Works.
